A motorway vignette is required on Swiss motorways and expressways. Read how it works below.
Tolluno is an independent service. We submit your registration to the Swiss Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS/BAZG) on your behalf.
Registrations are handled manually, so they are not instant. We update your order as soon as the registration is confirmed.

Every motor vehicle and motorcycle up to 3,500 kg driving on Swiss motorways and expressways needs a vignette, whether it is registered in Switzerland or abroad.
Buying the Swiss e-vignette through Tolluno is not available yet. The guide below explains the rules.
Swiss motorway e-vignette (vehicle)
CHF 40.00confirmed in your quote
Coming soonSwiss motorway e-vignette (trailer or caravan)
CHF 40.00confirmed in your quote
Coming soonCHF 40.00 for the 2026 edition, set by the Swiss authority. Any Tolluno registration fee is shown separately in your quote before you pay.
A trailer or caravan up to 3,500 kg needs its own vignette on its own plate. Trailers towed by a motorcycle are exempt, and so are rigid trailers; we can't tell whether a trailer is rigid, so we show that case as uncertain.
One vignette per edition: valid from 1 December of the previous year to 31 January of the following year. An e-vignette is valid from the moment it is registered.
Some official vehicles, such as emergency and military vehicles, are exempt. We can't check those exemptions, and we can't register non-standard Swiss plates or registrations longer than 10 characters yet. In these cases we show the requirement as uncertain or ask you to contact support.
Swiss national roads of the first and second class (motorways and expressways, signed in green). The stretch from the border to the first exit at Basel-St. Louis, Rheinfelden and Kreuzlingen can be used without a vignette.
Above 3,500 kg the Swiss heavy vehicle charge applies instead, unless the vehicle is not liable for it. Tolluno does not sell the heavy vehicle charge, and where we can't tell which applies we say so rather than guess.
