Frequently asked questions
What is an e-vignette?
An e-vignette is a digital road-use registration for the country and product shown. It is linked to the required vehicle identifiers, such as a plate or VIN. It covers only its applicable roads, category and validity; other road charges may still apply.
Which countries can I find guidance for?
Guidance covers Switzerland (CH), Bulgaria (BG), Slovakia (SK), Moldova (MD), Slovenia (SI) and Romania (RO). Romanian coverage is for the regime effective from 1 October 2026. You can buy only a currently available selected product that supports your vehicle/category; country guidance alone does not confirm live purchase availability.
Is Tolluno the official road authority?
No. Tolluno is an independent intermediary providing a registration service. The relevant authority or official system issues the vignette. Tolluno does not claim government status, an official partnership or authorisation.
What does the registration/service fee cover?
It covers Tolluno's handling of your registration and is separate from the official vignette/authority charge. Official charge plus Tolluno service fee equals your total, shown before payment. A displayed EUR conversion of an authority amount in another currency is not the authority's own EUR tariff.
When does my vignette become valid?
Follow the selected product's displayed validity and processing timing. Payment is not registration confirmation. Wait for successful registration confirmation before using roads requiring the vignette, and do not use it before its valid-from time.
How long is my vignette valid?
Validity depends on the selected country, duration or edition and authority rules. Check the valid-from and valid-until details shown for your product and confirmation. Payment does not extend or change the authority's validity rules.
Why do I need to wait for confirmation?
We arrange your registration manually after payment. Payment, processing and successful registration are separate steps. Wait for confirmation after successful registration before using the relevant roads, and check every item’s validity.
What if I enter the wrong plate or other details?
Check your plate, registration country, vehicle/category, weight, trailer, dates and any required VIN or identity details before payment. Contact [email protected] immediately about errors. After submission, correction may be limited by authority rules. A customer error does not automatically exclude a refund or statutory rights; any lawful charge must be explained. Tolluno remains responsible for its own processing errors.
Can I change my vehicle after purchase?
Do not assume a vignette can be transferred to another vehicle or plate. Contact [email protected]; options depend on submission/registration progress and authority rules. A stored-data update is not confirmation that an existing authority registration has changed.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Consumers normally have 14 days, starting the day after the service contract is concluded, to withdraw without giving a reason. Send an unambiguous statement to [email protected]; the model form below is optional. Sending it before the deadline is sufficient: withdrawal does not depend on support approval. Missing legally required withdrawal information can extend the period by up to 12 months. If that information is supplied during the extension, you have 14 days from receipt. A deadline on a weekend or public holiday extends to the next working day.
Does my trailer or caravan need its own vignette?
It depends on the country and your vehicle combination. Switzerland may require a separate trailer vignette. Bulgarian treatment can depend on combination weight; Slovak treatment depends on the vehicle/trailer category and combination. Slovenia includes the trailer, and Moldova includes a passenger vehicle's trailer. Use the result shown for your supplied details; do not apply one country's answer to another.
Why do trailer rules differ by country?
Each authority defines its own tariff scope, categories and combination treatment. Bulgaria's combination-weight assessment and Slovakia's vehicle/trailer-category and combination assessment are not interchangeable. Tolluno applies the relevant country assessment and shows whether the trailer is covered, separate, unsupported or subject to another toll.
What about vehicles above 3.5 tonnes?
There is no universal rule across countries. Heavy-vehicle charges may apply in Switzerland and Bulgaria; Slovenia uses DarsGo for heavy vehicles. In Romania's regime from 1 October 2026, goods vehicles above 3.5 tonnes use TollRo. In Slovakia, category M1 is not excluded from the vignette solely because it exceeds 3.5 tonnes. Moldova follows the current passenger, bus and goods catalogue. Follow the assessment for your actual vehicle/category; alternative tolls are not sold as ordinary vignettes here.
Why is my vehicle/category not supported?
The selected product may not cover your category, may require information we cannot yet assess, may be unavailable for purchase, or may belong to an alternative toll system. This is not an exemption from road charges. Follow the displayed guidance and arrange any required unsupported charge through the official source.
Why are VIN or identity details requested?
Some authorities require additional vehicle or identity information for registration. Moldova may require VIN and identity/fulfilment details, with passenger, bus or goods categories and seat declarations following the current catalogue. Supply only the information requested for your purchase.
How do I check my order?
Open Check my order and enter the order reference and private access code you received. Review payment, each item's registration progress, confirmation and validity. A paid status alone does not mean registration is complete.
What if I have not received confirmation?
Check your order status and the displayed processing timing. If the outcome is unclear or support is needed, email [email protected] with your order reference and registration details. Do not use roads requiring the vignette until successful confirmation and the valid-from time; do not buy the same item again while support checks the outcome.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected] with your order reference, order email, registration plate and country, a short description and any displayed support reference. Do not include card details, the private access code or full identity documents in your initial message.
How do orders for several vehicles or trailers work?
Each basket item belongs to the vehicle, trailer or combination shown for that item. Review every item's identifiers, category, dates and price before payment. A trailer is included only where the country assessment says so. Several items can have different processing and confirmation states; one completed item does not confirm the others.
